Advancement in a civillization is ranked based on the energy source. Since we are still a type zero and heading to become a type one civillization, we should master the energy of the earth or planetary.

Nuclear fusion
fusion of light atoms will produce energy. isotopes of hydrogen such as deuterium and tritium are radioactive. some of these atoms occur naturally and we can also create deuterium and tritium by bombarding neutrons to the nucleus of hydrogen.

fusion of the hydrogen isotopes can produce energy just like the fission of uranium or other radioactive material. this is good because source of nuclear energy will become abundant because we can isolate hydrogen from electrolysis of the seawater and then bombard neutrons to make isotopes, or we can also just isolate the naturally occuring isotopes of hydrogen. then we use it as the nuclear fusion source.

theoretical physicists said that they are doing research on this kind of energy at a nuclear fusion lab in france. and they also said that this energy may be available worldwide in 20- 50 years in the future.

one more good thing about nuclear fusion is it is green. it may slows down our global warming effect because the current fossil fuel electrical generator release a lot of carbon dioxide that contribute to the global warming. by replacing the fossil fuel generator with the fusion electrical generator, we may have a better electrical generator.
