Increase a reached limit broadband speed: The Ping of Death

Hi everyone,
Are you a broadband user that fells bugged when the service provider sent you a message telling that you have already reached the limit of bandwidth usage for the month?. if so, then here we have some solutions:
1. Manual Setting.
The first method is about the manual setting. This can also be applied to a broadband that still in the bandwidth limit of monthly usage.

Most of the broadband come with a 3g preferred setting as a default. in this setting the broadband will automatically swithes your connection from 3g to 2g depends on strengh of network at your location. usually 2g line is always stable and most of the time broadband will choose this connection for you. but 3g is a lot faster than 2g. to optimize this, you need to change the setting. to do this:

a)open your broadband application.
b)choose tools then choose options and then choose network.
c)after that here we may see 3g only, 3g preferred, and edge only options. as a default the broadband should be on 3g preferred.
d)change this to 3g only and click ok. after that, wait for a while and see your line at the broadband application. if your location have a good 3g connection, the line will shows 3g or hsdpa.
e) then click connect and enjoy your full time 3g connection =).

p/s: some area may have an insufficient 3g connection, so after you changed the setting to 3g only, the line may not appear. for this we cant use the tips above. maybe you can move to a higher place in the house to get better connection. and if you still dont have line, swith the network setting back to 3g preferred or edge only by following the steps above.

2. Ping of death.
Ping of death use the method of continous data communications between you and server of the internet provider. to do this:

a) open a command prompt. to do this you can press the search button, and type "cmd". then left click the application that appear on the top of search results. a black window should appear with some words in it like this image:
command prompt. credit: photobucket

b) in the command prompt, type "ipconfig /all", then press enter.

c) then some words may appear. then you need to scroll down and search for ipv4 Adress. the number should be like this 10.75.0.66 ( but not exactly). dont choose the 192.168.1.1 number because this is your lan ip. copy your ipv4 adress number (the number should be around this: 10.75.0.66)

d) then open a notepad
e) then copy paste this command to your notepad.
@echo off
ping 10.75.0.66 /t

f) you also need to replace the "10.75.0.66" based on your ipv4 Adress number.
g) now choose "file" and the "save as" the notepad.
h) for the location of the file will be saved, you should put on desktop for easy access.
i) for the file name, name it as "pod.bat". ".bat" prefix is very important to put because windows will read the file as a command line when you run the file later.
j) for the save as type: choose all files.
k) then click save.

l) now look at your desktop, find the pod.bat file with quite a weird icon ^^. just double click it and a command prompt windows will appear and displays "Replying form 10.75.0.66: bytes= 32 time=2ms TTL=64". if that kind of line appear continously, it means that you have succeed in doing this =).
here is how it looks when you successfully do POD:

p/s:
a) for ping of death, you need to replace the Ipv4 Adress everytime you reconnect the broadband because you will gain a new ip for each reconnection. you may follow the a-c step to get the new Ipv4 Adress, and then find your pod.bat file on your desktop, right click it and choose edit. just replace the old Ipv4 Adress with your new one. after that save it and run it as before to launch Ping of Death again.
b) you should not close the POD application while it runs so that continous data transmission will be maintained.
c) POD can also increases the speed of land line internet like streamyx.
d) POD is not recommended if you are still in the broadband limit because this will use your bandwidth quickly. POD also usually cannot make your internet as fast as before the limit was reached. POD can only make the line more stable and a bit faster.
e) Ping of death is illegal and i cannot take responsibility of anything happened by doing this.

    1. Do your internet have quota? If you have and if it has been used up, this method cannot help much. it will only stabilize the line but cannot boost it to become as fast as before quota was reached.
